About
My name is Lauren Tamura and I was born and raised right here in Wisconsin, where I still reside, on the outskirts of small town Lodi, Wisconsin. I am a medically retired staff sergeant of the US Army. With a Purple Heart Medal and three deployments to Iraq under my belt, it is an understatement to say that life has not always been easy. Medical retirement in conjunction with military to civilian transition only added to my challenges in life. Mounting PTSD symptoms coupled with poor coping mechanisms led to a downward spiral that nearly ended my life. My life was at a critical point where I needed to make a change, or my future was going to look grim, indeed. Gym life and Woodworking quite literally saved my life. It renewed my drive to relentlessly pursue the best possible version of myself and encourage others to do the same.
As a business owned by a woman, veteran, and proud member of the LGBTQ community, I look forward to using my creative side to produce the best possible products to enhance the lives of others, whether through pure art or functional pieces.
